While there's plenty to do right onsite at Suncook River Camp, we're also so proud to show off our surrounding community of restaurants, breweries, outdoor (and indoor!) activities, NH's largest State Park, and local farm stands & grocers.
There's lots to do in Suncook Village, Allenstown, Pembroke, Hooksett, Epsom and Concord. Whether you like the outdoors (hikes, mountain biking, kayaking), want a good local restaurant, or want to get indoors to avoid bad weather. Here are some of our favorite spots, but don't hesitate to ask for other options as well.
#### Outdoor Activities
[Bear Brook State Park](https://www.nhstateparks.org/find-parks-trails/bear-brook-state-park) (Allenstown, 2 mi): Hiking, beach, mountain biking, boating, hilly winding roads for brave road cyclists.

[Hooksett-Allenstown Rail Trail](http://google.com/maps/place/Hooksett+Riverwalk+Trail/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89e243f0e9d43035:0x401af4adaaa146d4?sa=X&ved=1t:242&ictx=111) (Hooksett, 2.3 mi; Allenstown, 1.8 mi) A beautiful flat out and back trail, partially along the Merrimack River. Plenty of parking at the Hooksett entrance. Allenstown entrance street parking on Ferry St.
[Scenic RailRiders](https://scenicrailriders.com/) (Concord, 14.2 mi) Ride a 2 or 4-person bike on old railroad tracks (603) 931-1700 to book
[Chuckster’s](https://www.chucksters.com/) (Hooksett, 6 mi) Mini-golf, games, ice cream
[Highland Mountain Bike Park](https://highlandmountain.com/) (Northfield, 27 mi)

[LaValley Farmstand](https://lavalleyfarms.com/) (Hooksett, 2.5 mi) Fresh local produce, meats, maple syrup and baked goods. 24/7 fresh egg vending machine.
[Tucker’s](https://www.tuckersnh.com/locations) (Hooksett, 6 mi) Diner with awesome coffee, locally sourced breakfast and lunch. Closes at 2pm.
[Brick House Restaurant](https://bhrestaurant.net/home) (Hooksett, 5 miles) Casual seasonal seafood & ice cream shack. Closed after Labor Day.
[Lang’s Ice Cream](https://langsicecream.com/) (Pembroke, 4 mi) Quintessential New England ice cream stand with burgers & dogs. Closed after Columbus Day.
[Pembroke City Limits](https://www.pembrokecitylimits.com/) (Suncook, 0.5 mi) Live Music, cold beers, artsy gatherings and rotating menu of eats.
[Marivin's](https://www.facebook.com/p/Marivins-61577763380909/) (Allenstown, 0.4 mi) Candy shoppe meats pizza joint (with good pizza!). Call for delivery to the office (*not* your campsite) Fri & Sat before 7:30p.
[Northwoods Brewing](https://www.northwoodsbrewingcompany.com/) (Northwood, 14 mi) Worth the excursion for a full bakery (including cronuts), tasty pizza and wings, and locally brewed suds.
Over the Moon Farmstead, Pizza + Brewery (Pittsfield) Another "worth the drive" location, serving home brewed beers and mead, plus brick oven pizzas. All overlooking a beautiful 98-acre farm. The views alone might be worth it.
[Shirley's Kitchen](https://shirleyskitchennh.com/home/) (Suncook, 0.5 mi) Serving breakfast & lunch in adorable downtown Suncook (Pembroke). A staff favorite!
Big Ben Pizzeria (Pembroke) Serving up pizza, salads, sandwiches. Another staff favorite!
Pizza Man (Hooksett) Indoor & outdoor seating, ice cream window, great pizza and a large menu of other options (a favorite right near 93).
