What Is There to Do at Suncook River Camp?

Suncook River Camp is a family-friendly campground and glampground in Suncook, New Hampshire. We offer riverfront & wooded glamping rentals (cabins, domes, and RVs), RV sites, and tent sites. There's lots of outdoor recreation, and on-site activities for kids and adults. Here’s what’s available onsite at the Suncook River Camp.


On the Suncook River

  • Tube, kayak, or canoe the Suncook River (bring your own or rent ours)
  • Float between our beaches in about an hour, or paddle upstream at a relaxed pace
  • Warm, slow-moving water suitable for all ages
  • Fish from your campsite or designated areas (please no fishing at beaches, this helps protect swimmers and boaters)

Around the Campground

  • Walk or ride bikes on our ¾-mile private gravel road
  • Safe, shaded loop for kids riding bikes and guests walking dogs
  • Riverfront and wooded areas throughout the property
  • Car traffic limited to campground guests


Pool and Playground

  • Swimming pool open 8:00am–8:00pm (no lifeguard on duty, kids under 14 must be supervised)
  • Playground located near the pool for easy supervision
  • Common areas for casual play and downtime
  • Shaded picnic tables located on the playground and next to the pool

At Your Site

  • Fire rings at every camp site, fires permitted but can’t to be left unattended
  • Scheduled firewood delivery available via text
  • Community bonfires on select weekends near the pool and playground
  • Weekends: Scheduled food delivery (pizzas, burgers, hot dogs - we'll text the menu ahead)

Kids Activities (Late June thru Labor Day)

  • Scheduled kids crafts (Saturdays, typically mid-morning to early afternoon)
  • Organized activities such as scavenger hunts, games, or contests
  • Family movie nights (G or PG-rated, Friday or Saturday Nights)
  • Retro video game nights on select weekends
  • Weekly schedules shared via text before arrival


Food Options (Late June – Labor Day)

  • Food trucks or Suncook prepared meals on select weekends
  • Typically Friday dinner and Saturday lunch and dinner
  • Menus, timing, and pre-ordering details sent via text the week of your stay
  • Ask us about Propane Grill rental for your group

Sauna and Hot Tubs

  • Cedar barrel sauna open from dawn until quiet hours (10:00pm, 18+)
  • Hot tubs available seasonally for guest use (spring & fall)

With Your Dog

  • Dogs are welcome on leash throughout the campground
  • Dogs must be leashed or fenced at your site at all times
  • Plenty of space for walking around the property
  • Dog wash station located by the bathhouse
  • Treats available in the camp store
  • Rental units allow 1 dog max; pets may not be left unattended in rentals

Camp Store

  • Open 10:00am–8:00pm (fall hours observed after Labor Day)
  • Snacks, drinks, ice cream, and camping supplies (bug spray, sunscreen)
  • Sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts hats, beanies, mugs, and stickers
  • Small LEGO table for kids
  • Available by text 8:00am–8:00pm, even if staff are assisting elsewhere

Communication and Guest Support

  • Text messaging is our primary form of communication
  • Guests receive check-in information, weekend plans, food schedules, and activity reminders by text
  • You can text us anytime during your stay with questions or requests
  • Staff are onsite throughout the weekend
